Shri Gita Mandir, Punjabi University Patiala resumed Shri Bhagwad Gita Classes

Punjabi University Patiala is always front runner in the shaping their students from all angles. The managing committee of Shri Gita Mandir, Punjabi University Patiala is also playing a big role in this mission.
At Gita Mandir, all the festivals are regularly celebrated like Maha Shivratri, Basant Panchami, Navratras etc. Three years back, Shri Bhagwad Gita Classes were started through Hare Krishna Group Patiala.
This initiative by this team is praise worthy as in this Satyug, there is a high need of inculcating the knowledge of vedas to the students. “Bhagwad Gita is not a just a book which is to be kept at our home temples packing in Red cloth, actually this is a manual of life which is to be read and gain the lessons spoken by Lord Krishna to Arjuna and must be adopted in our own lives”, said by a spiritual scientist Dr. Keshav Anand.
Dr. Keshav Anand is a spiritual scientist who has established a self-sustainable Gurukul in village Pabri near Rajpura which is worth visiting. He and his disciples used to come to Shri Gita Mandir for preaching during the classes. Shyam Sunder Prabhu, Incharge of Hare Krishna Group, Patiala, regularly, taught about Bhagwad Gita Shalokas along with their meanings in simple wording.
These classes are conducted every Wednesday at Shri Gita Mandir, Punjabi University Patiala. These classes are now again being restarted after a gap from Wednesday i.e. today (12-02-2025) from evening 7 pm to 8pm which will include Hare Krishna Maha mantra Kirtan, Lecture and Prashad.
Shyam Sunder Prabhu informed that youth classes are also organized at Hare Krishna Centre on every Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm. Similarly, On Sunday at 6pm, there is a major event on Bhagwad Gita Classes at Gita Bhawan, Samania Gate, Patiala.
Shri Gita Mandir, Punjabi University Patiala resumed Shri Bhagwad Gita Classes. All are invited. He informed that we are preaching for the welfare of the society as in Kali Yuga, this is the only and simplest way to pass away our sins and to get freedom from the cycle of Birth, Death, disease and old age.
Prof. Satyabir, President, Gita Mandir Punjabi University Managing Committee expressed his gratitude to the Hare Krishna Group for organizing such classes for their students and employees. Even devotees from nearby places of Punjabi University Patiala will also get benefit from these classes.
