Staff, students of Mata Gujri College paid obeisance in Shaheedi Sabha Nagar Kirtan

Prostrating the incomparable martyrdom of Mata Gujri Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the staff and students of Mata Gujri College joined in the Nagar Kirtan with great devotion on the last day of Shahidi Sabha.
On this occasion Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh paid tributes to the martyrs and said that such a great sacrifice could not be seen or heard anywhere in the history of the world. Therefore, it is our duty to encourage our children to engage in Sikh history, Sikh doctrines and Sikh ideology.
It is to be mentioned that in the events of Shahidi Sabha the NSS of the college More than 1000 units of blood were donated during the blood donation camp organized by the unit and more than 4000 patients were given medicines in the first aid camp organized by the Youth Red Cross Unit. College NSS, NCC and the student volunteers of Bharat Scouts and Guide contributed a lot in blood donation camp, langar and sangat service at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Thanda Burj and Bhora Sahib besides traffic control.
Apart from this the college had specially set up overnight shelters for the pilgrims coming from far and wide where accommodation was arranged for more than 5000 pilgrims as well as free bus service and langar for the passengers. Today is the last day of the Shaheedi Jor Mel, Fatehgarh Sahib. Lacs of devotees paid obeisance during the Jor Mel.
