The star cast of the upcoming Punjabi film “Mera Baba Nanak” organized a Rubru (face to face) program with the students at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda Campus. The film will hit the theatres on May 19.
Giving detailed information about the film, the film’s writer and actor Amanmeet Singh and lead actress Harshjot Kaur said that this film will showcase the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The film will connect the audience with faith and touch hearts through a religious perspective. He said that the film focuses on various social issues like women’s empowerment, gender discrimination and drug addiction and portrays characters who have a lot of faith in God.
The star cast of the film made an emotional appeal to the students and everyone to watch this film with their families on May 19, saying that only with the love and support of the audience, they will get the courage to make more such films with a social message.
The trailer of the film was screened on this occasion. Actor Amanmeet Singh has tried to give a positive message to the society by portraying his role as a proven Sardar. Harshjot Kaur, the lead actress of the film, also shared her thoughts about her character in the film “Mera Baba Nanak” while talking to the students. Harshjot Kaur who is a multifaceted personality also answered questions from the students about her career, how she is pursuing her passion for acting while working as an inspector in the Punjab Police. The question-and-answer session of both the actors with the students was exciting.

Apart from Amanmeet Singh and Harshjot Kaur, the star cast of the film includes Vikramjit Virak, Kul Sidhu, Harpreet Bains, Mintu Kapa, Mahaveer Bhullar, Tarsem Pal, Malkeet Rooni, among others. The songs of this film are written by famous lyricists Amardeep Singh Gill, Deep Atwal and Amar Jalal.
