State level Pre- Republic Day trial camp organized at MRS-PTU

A state level pre- Republic Day (RD) trial camp was organized at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU) Bathinda for shortlisting of volunteers for the Republic Day parade.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers from different universities including Punjab University, Punjabi University and Central University of Punjab participated in the camp.
Different cultural activities including Bhangra, Dance, Songs and poems were presented by all the volunteers. The volunteers were shortlisted on the basis of physical parameters, medical fitness, cultural performances and interview.
MRS-PTU – NSS, In-charge Dr. Meenu and University Business School (UBS), Assistant Professor, Dr. Manpreet Kaur Dhaliwal led teams worked very hard to make the event successful.
All the volunteers were medically examined by Medical Officers Dr. Reetika and Dr. Meenakshi Singla. Mandeep Raheja and Seema Mehra were cultural experts from All India Radio Bathinda. While Kulwinder Singh and Raghvir Singh, Assistant Directors, Youth Services interviewed the volunteers. Harinder Kaur, Regional Director, NSS was also present during the day long short listing procedure.
The Parade was evaluated by a team of police officials led by Inspector Avtar Singh comprising Shinder Singh, Jagmail Singh and Buta Singh.
