Bharatiya Janata Party Rupnagar District President Ajayvir Singh Lalpura today addressed a powerful press conference in Ropar along with BJP candidates who contested the Municipal Council elections. During the conference, Lalpura thanked the voters of Ropar city and declared that BJP would continue fighting fearlessly for the people despite what he described as “tailored elections” conducted under pressure from the AAP government.

Lalpura said the people of Ropar voted for truth, honesty and fearless politics despite the ruling government allegedly using “all tantras of power, administration and pressure tactics” during the elections. He stated that BJP workers and candidates fought like warriors on every booth and every ward without bowing before threats or political intimidation.

He proudly referred to BJP candidates as “21 soldiers of the party” and said every candidate stood firmly with the people. He assured citizens that BJP would fulfill every promise made during the election campaign and continue raising the voice of the public inside and outside the Municipal Council.

Launching a direct attack on the Punjab government, Lalpura alleged that several valid votes of BJP candidates were falsely cancelled by voting officials in different wards. He termed the elections “tailored elections” and alleged that the administration worked under political pressure to damage BJP’s performance in Ropar.

Lalpura openly challenged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said if elections are conducted again without misuse of police, administration and government machinery, BJP will win all 21 seats in Ropar. He claimed that the ruling party was afraid of BJP’s growing strength and public support in the city.

Speaking emotionally about the campaign atmosphere, Lalpura alleged that BJP candidate from Ward No. 12 faced threats during campaigning when certain goons allegedly attempted to intimidate her and stop BJP workers from entering areas. He said despite threats, BJP workers refused to back down.

“We are Guru’s warriors. We do not fear anyone,” Lalpura declared strongly during the press conference. He further warned that the time of the Ropar MLA is limited and said the MLA should “start counting his days” because people are preparing to bring political change in the constituency soon.
