Teej festival celebrated in Punjabi University School with great fervor

Teej festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Senior Secondary Model School, Punjabi University, Patiala on Saturday. Teej festival is celebrated in the month of Sawan and is celebrated across the state to promote Punjabi culture and heritage.
The students of the school participated in various activities on this occasion dressed in colorful Punjabi attire. They performed Giddha and Bhangra to the rhythm of Punjabi folk songs. Dr. Regina Maini, Senior Medical Officer of the University the chief guest of the day.
She said the children are very innocent and teachers play important role in the development of the children.She said we should value our traditions and culture.
Apart from the famous dances, a quiz competition was also organized among the students. School in-charge
Satvir Singh Gill appreciated the efforts made by the students and teachers. Refreshments were distributed among the students at the culmination of the festivities.
