The 10th International Conference on Advanced and Futuristic Trends in Mechanical and Materials Engineering (AFTMME-2023) commenced with great enthusiasm at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) Bathinda.
The event saw an illustrious inauguration by Chief Guest Prof. M.K. Paswan, the Director of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) Longowal, in the august presence of SOMME President and Vice Chancellor Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, dignitaries, and faculty members. The event was jointly organised by the Mechanical Engineering Department of MRSPTU and Society of Materials and Mechanical Engineers (SOMME).
Prof. Paswan set the tone for the conference with an inspiring opening address. The conference featured a series of expert talks delivered by distinguished speakers from the industry. Notable presenters included SOMME Patron, Prof. Ex Emeritus Satya Prakash from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, Prof. Niraj Bala, Head of the Entrepreneurship Development and Consulting (EDC) department at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) in Chandigarh. Dr. Ashok Matani, Retired Professor Maharastra, Dr. Khushboo Rakha, IIT Ropar Rupnagar, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, BBSBEC Fatehgarh Sahib and Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Punjabi University Patiala.
International perspectives were provided by Prof. Armellet Vardelle from the University of Limoges in France, and Dr. Rogerio Lima, National Research Council of Canada, Prof. Andre McDonald, hailing from the University of Edmonton in Canada, also shared valuable insights on cutting-edge trends in the field.
This three-day conference will witness together a diverse array of leading academicians, researchers, and scientists from both international and national backgrounds, all eager to delve into the most recent trends and international research outcomes in the Mechanical and Materials Engineering field. As many as 160 prominent researchers will present their research papers during the conference.
