The sportspersons of Guru Nanak Dev University made a glory in 13th SAF Games

The sportspersons of Guru Nanak Dev University have made a glory for the Country and the University in 13th SAF Games (South Asian Games) 2019 recently held at Nepal by winning medals in different games.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Director Sports said that in Fencing Game, Six Gold and One Silver medals were won by the University fencers, Kabita Devi and Bindu won Gold medals in team and Indv. events respectively. Radhika won Gold and silver medal in team and indv. respectively.
Jagmeet won Gold in team. In Taekwondo Game, University players won one Gold medal and two Silver, Kashish Malik gold in 57 kg., Shilpa Thapa and Kunal Kumar got Silver medal in poomsae.
In Cycling Game, Choba Devi won Gold medal in Indv. Road Time Trial. In Shooting, our university shooter Sunidi Chuhan won Gold in team event and Silver in Indv. Event.
The Vice-Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar congratulated the position holders on winning medals for the country.
The Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar & Director Sports also gave the blessing to the players and good wishes for the bright future carrier.
The Assistant Director Sports welcome the players in the University. The Director Sports said that it is a matter of great pride and happy moment for us as the players have brightened the name of the University in the Country.
