Three of a family found murdered in power colony

Three members of a family were found murdered in a house in PSPCL’s power colony Rupnagar on Tuesday evening.
According to information the neighbourers felt foul smell emanating from the house no. 62 in type 4 of power colony Rupnagar and informed the police, which reached the spot and found the dead bodies of one retired thermal plant school teacher Harcharan Singh, his wife Paramjit Kaur and daughter Dr.Charanpreet Kaur, who was posted at civil hospital Anandpur Sahib lying in the house.Son of Harcharan Singh is reportedly missing from the house.
Senior police officials including SSP Rupnagar Dr Sandeep Garg and SP(D) Harbir Singh Atwal also reached the spot on getting the information in this regard.
Police said that it was a case of murder with multiple injuries on the bodies of the victims with sharp edged weapons. It appeared that the victims were murdered one-two days back
