To bring transport department in action mode Warring demanded time bound information

All the cabinet ministers of Charanjit Singh Channi led congress government are working overnight to fulfill the public demands, in 100 days of their working time period. The commander in chief Charanjit Singh Channi is leading his team with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Charanjit Singh Channi’s cabinet colleague and state transport minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has came into limelight from the first day of his joining the cabinet. He is visiting, inspecting the bus stands, roadways buses, impounding illegal private buses, interacting with the public, commuters etc.
To streamline the department, process, Warring has demanded the time bound information from his department, PRTC about the illegal permits and tax defaulters list, Re setting of time table, new fleet of buses and new recruitment, initiatives for better service to the people, issues related to the registration, driving licenses (RC & DL) and last not the least the revenue generation in the last 15 days . In the coming days he is going to take a meeting with transport officials.
He had already said that “Punjab government had already given 100 crore tax benefits to private bus operators of Punjab, by waiving off the tax due to covid pandemic and if the private transporter still evade tax , Punjab government will not spare them”
“As per the available information, the state government has already placed the order with TATA to supply 842 buses to the state. They will supply the chassis within a period of one month. Out of these 842 buses, PRTC will get 255 buses and rest goes to the PUNBUS”.
To bring transport department in action mode Warring demanded time bound information. On issue of time table of buses, he had already said the transport department will release the new time table of buses that will benefit the state govt owned transport department, within a week -ten days time.
