To promptly resolve industrialists’ issues, PSPCL launches Industrial Facilitation Cell; dedicated number, email launched-ETO

In a move to prioritize and streamline services for the industrial sector, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has launched a dedicated cell – the Industrial Facilitation Cell (IFC) to be monitored by the office of Chairman Cum Managing Director of PSPCL. The initiative aims to promptly address and resolve issues faced by industrialists related to the release of new connections, extension of load and other power-related matters.

Disclosing this here on Tuesday, Punjab Power and PWD Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that in September, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal engaged in back-to-back discussions with industrialists in key industrial hubs such as Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and SAS Nagar (Mohali). He said that the establishment of the IFC comes as a response to demands raised by industrialists during these series of meetings.

The Minister said that during these meetings, the industrialists highlighted various concerns regarding power supply and maintenance, emphasizing the need for a dedicated mechanism to address their issues promptly. In response to their concerns, the Punjab Government took swift action to establish the Industrial Facilitation Cell within the framework of PSPCL, he added.

Elaborating on the new services offered by IFC, the Power Minister stated that a dedicated helpline WhatsApp Number: 9646119141 and an Email Address [email protected], have been launched. He said that industrials can text their power related complaints or grievances on this WhatsApp number or email address. “These communication channels shall facilitate seamless interaction between industrialists and the IFC,” said Harbhajan Singh ETO while adding that industrialists can now submit their complaints easily through WhatsApp or email, and these complaints will be given immediate attention and dealt with on priority.

The Minister said that the establishment of the IFC is expected to enhance the efficiency of issue resolution and will further strengthen the communication between the industrial sector and PSPCL. He said that this move underscores the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment by addressing the specific needs of the industrial community in the state.
