TSPL COO inaugurates Community Park in village Talwandi Aklia, Mansa

Pankaj Sharma,COO, TSPL inaugurated the community park constructed by Talwandi Sabo Power Limited in Talwandi Aklia village in the presence of the village Sarpanch, Panchayat members and community. The park was constructed by TSPL for promoting recreational activities and active and healthy lifestyle among the community members especially village youth and children.
Earlier the area was a garbage dump yard used as cattle shed by the villagers. This area was completely transformed to a community park with open gym and play station facilities for youth and children respectively. This will serve as a meeting ground for elderlies and is named as ‘Chacha Ajit Singh Kisan park’ after a village veteran.
Encouraging youth and children to keep the spirit of Punjab alive with active and healthy lifestyle Pankaj Sharma COO TSPL said, “Active lifestyle through sports and gyming is one of the best ways to keep one physically and mentally fit. It also teaches us traits like teamwork, patience, planning, perseverance and focus which are the cornerstone for achieving success in life. This park is now a major landmark for our village and we express our gratitude to the TSPL management for their support. We look forward to continued TSPL’s support for transforming our village into a model village.”
