Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), Punjab’s largest thermal power plant, recently organised an impactful mega awareness session, centring on menstrual hygiene and Hepatitis B for the rural women from the vicinity. This session was a collaborative efforts of TSPL and its project implementing partner, PHDRDF. The session was graced by distinguished speakers, notably Dr. Preeti Jindal, a highly respected gynaecologist from Talwandi Sabo. Dr. Preeti Jindal delivered invaluable insights into menstrual health practices, guiding women and adolescent girls through essential dos and don’ts, while also addressing their concerns with empathy and dispelling prevalent doubts. As part of this initiative, sanitary napkins were also distributed to further promote menstrual hygiene.

Adding value to the session Darshan Singh, a seasoned healthcare professional, shared enlightening strategies on Hepatitis B prevention and other crucial health preventive measures, significantly enriching the audience’s knowledge base.

Krittika Bhatt, the Head of CSR at TSPL, took the opportunity to underline the significance of Project SEHAT. She emphasized its pivotal role in delivering top-tier medical services directly to the community, showcasing the commitment to adapt and enhance services continually to meet the evolving needs of the locals.
