TSPL pays tribute to Mansa’s martyr, the Indian Army Sepoy Gurtej Singh

Vikas Sharma, CEO & Whole-Time Director – Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), visited the family of the valiant martyr Sepoy Gurtej Singh in Birewala Dogar village, Mansa, to pay heartfelt tribute to him on behalf of the TSPL family. Gurtej Singh laid down his life for the country fighting alongside brave soldiers of the Indian Army and taking down 12 Chinese soldiers single-handedly in the Galwan Valley clash between India and China. Along with senior officials of TSPL, Sharma offered his respect to the brave soldier and his grieving parents and family members.
Consoling the bereaved family, Vikas Sharma said, “We salute the spirit of Sepoy Gurtej Singh who laid down his life demonstrating exemplary courage to protect our motherland. Mansa has lost a brave son and we shall never forget Gurtej’s valiance and sacrifice, which will be illuminated in the annals of Indian history.”
As a token of respect and gratitude, Sharma presented a citation and cheque of INR 1 lakh to Gurtej’s family. TSPL executives stood in solidarity with the entire village as Gurtej’s parents and the village sarpanch narrated the young soldier’s heroic deeds and acts of courage since childhood and his immense passion to join the army and serve the nation.
