Twist in Punjab’s multi crore grain scam; Mama-Bhanja video surfaced

Punjab’s multi crore grain scam, that rocked the state in which Congress MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur‘s nephew has been accused of embezzling Rs 20 crore., takes a new shape, after a video surfaced on social media, today, in which a person claims to be a real nephew of Congress MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur from Ghanaour in Patiala district and is present in his Amritsar residence.
Yesterday, a news published in a vernacular newspaper, about a multi crore scam that came to light, after the vigilance raid at food procurement agencies godown. As per reports, “less than 2 lakh sacks of wheat were recovered. Inspector Jasdev is reported missing along with the record. Jasdev Singh, a food inspector at the Jandiala Guru Kendra in Amritsar, is accused of wasting wheat worth Rs 16 to 20 crore.”

But, as per the video, a person who is saying that “his name is Jasdeep Singh and is the real nephew of MLA Ghanaour Madan Lal Jalapur. He is working with Punjab Mandi board and not with Pungrain. I am still in my house at Amritsar. Anybody can come and meet me at my residence.”
A similar clarification video by MLA Ghanaour Madan Lal Jalapur also surfaced, clarifying his statement given to the press correspondent. He said,” a confusion in the name makes the blunder. My nephew’s name is Jasdeep Singh and works with mandi board at Amritsar. Where as the accused name is Jasdev Singh and also works at Amritsar. But my nephew has done nothing illegal.”
When contacted at the given number in the video, the person said, “I am the nephew of MLA Jalalpur and my name is Jasdeep Singh. I am working as a Auction Recorder at market committee Amritsar. Where as the said accused is Inspector Jasdev Singh and is working in Pungrain at Jandiala Guru centre in Amritsar district. I had not done any scam. “
