Two day International Conference begins at NSNIS on Integrating Yoga with Sports Science for Peak Performance

The inauguration ceremony of the International Conference on “Harmonizing Movement: Integrating Yoga with Sports Science for Peak Performance” was conducted at the Sports Authority of India (NSNIS), Patiala.
The event was officially inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Director General of the Sports Authority of India, Sujata Chaturvedi, and Dr. Shobhit jain, Joint Secretary Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in the presence of distinguished National and International Yogasana experts, scientists, researchers, and practitioners such as Dr. Satbir Singh Khalsa, Associate Professor, Harvard, USA, Dr. Jaideep Arya, Secretary General, Yogasana Bharat and World Yogasana Chairman.
Vineet Kumar, Sr. Executive Director NS NIS Patiala warmed welcomed all the participants and Yogasana experts. The gathering comprised approximately 250 participants and around 35 esteemed speakers. The conference will be conducted over a span of two days.
The integration of yoga with sports science is becoming increasingly vital in the realm of high-performance athletics, as it aids in maximizing an athlete’s potential while ensuring their overall well-being. This event provides a platform for sports scientists, yoga experts, coaches, and students to engage in the exchange of insights, research findings, and practical methodologies regarding the incorporation of yoga into sports training and recovery processes for optimized outcome.
