Two-Day Safety Training Program Organised at Talwandi Sabo Power Limited

Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), Village Banawala, District Mansa, successfully organized a two-day Safety Training Program on 15th and 16th April 2026, aimed at strengthening safety awareness and emergency preparedness among employees and stakeholders.

The program was inaugurated on 15th April 2026 by  Pankaj Sharma, CEO, TSPL Power Plant, along with  Vishal Singla, Deputy Director of Factories, Bathinda. Their presence highlighted the organization’s strong commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

The first day featured a series of insightful lectures by distinguished experts.  Devendra Singh, Ultra Tech Head Safety from Bathinda, provided Electrical Safety training on the importance of electrical measures implanted by industries including benchmarked safe practices. Dr. Parveen Mudgal, Senior Medical Officer from Guru Gobind Singh Refinery, emphasized the importance of occupational health and emergency medical response. Dr. Narinder Kumar Bassi, Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defense Bathinda, delivered an informative session on disaster preparedness, while  Naresh Pathania from Red Cross Bathinda spoke about first aid and humanitarian response during emergencies.

On 16th April 2026, the program included a practical demonstration conducted by NDRF personnel, involving trained members and officers. The demonstration covered rescue operations at height and ground level, providing participants with hands-on exposure to real-life emergency response techniques.

The program concluded with a valedictory session led by  Pankaj Sharma and  Vishal Singla, who appreciated the active participation and emphasized the importance of continuous safety training.

Speaking on the occasion,  Pankaj Sharma, CEO, TSPL Power Plant, said, at TSPL, safety is not just a priority but a core value. Vishal Singla, Deputy Director of Factories, Bathinda, also appreciated the initiative and said, It is encouraging to see organizations like TSPL taking proactive steps towards safety awareness and compliance. Such initiatives play a crucial role in minimizing risks and ensuring the well-being of employees across industries.
