Two decade old case along with 421 others resolved amicably in Barnala Lok Adalat

The Judicial authorities succeeded in ending a 20 years old civil suit, which was pending in the court of Amrinder Pal Singh, Ld. Civil Judge (Sr.Div.), Barnala, compromise has been effected between plaintiff Sadhu Singh and defendant Malkeet Singh. In a National Lok Adalat compromise has been effected between parties and Malkeet Singh paid Rs.10 Lac. to Sadhu Singh in the court in the presence of District & Sessions Judge Virinder Aggarwal and this 20 years old litigation has been ended. Both the parties were very happy with the decision of the court regarding compromise.
In another case a 15-year old tussle between two families of District Barnala ended on the intervention of the District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Barnala, Virinder Aggarwal, when petitioner Satnam Singh has withdrawn his appeal against Nazar Singh. Virinder Aggarwal informed that about 15 years ago one civil suit for specific performance and permanent injunction was filed by Nazar Singh against Satnam Singh etc. In the said suit Nazar Singh claimed that Satnam Singh entered into an agreement to sell on 29.10.2004 regarding land measuring 20 Kanals 1 Marla and also taken earnest money Rs. 2,00,000/- from him and agreed to execute sale deed in his favour, but later on Satnam Singh did not execute sale deed. On the other hand Satnam Singh claimed that no agreement was ever executed between him and Nazar Singh and the said agreement is a forged document. On 07.11.2016 case was decided in favour of Nazar Singh and Satnam Singh was directed to execute sale deed in favour of Nazar Singh. Thereafter appeal was filed by Satnam Singh against the order and today 14.12.2019 both the parties have effected compromise with the efforts of District & Sessions Judge, Virinder Aggarwal. Both the parties were very happy after the end of their 15 years old litigation and they were thankful to National Lok Adalat for resolving their dispute amicably.
Meanwhile, today total 1602 cases were taken up and out of which 422 cases were amicably resolved by 9 benches of Virinder Aggarwal, District & Sessions Judge, Arun Gupta, Addl. District & Sessions Judge-I, Lalit Kumar Singla, District Judge, Family Court, Barjinder Pal Singh, Addl. District & Sessions Judge-II, Amrinder Pal Singh, Ld. Civil Judge (Sr.Div.), Vineet Narang, Chief Judicial Magistrate,. Gurbir SinghAddl. Civil Judge (Sr.Div.), Rajinder Singh Nagpal, Civil Judge (Jr.Div) and Kulwinder Kaur, Civil Judge (Jr.Div.) and an awards of Rs. 64950409.53/- were passed during the National Lok Adalat. Virinder Aggarwal said that by settling cases through National Lok Adalats, one can save time and money. The court fee is also refunded when one settle the case at the Lok Adalat. Due to speedy disposal of cases at the Lok Adalats, the pendency of cases in courts will also decrease.
