The UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at Punjabi University, Patiala, proudly announces the successful completion of the Interdisciplinary Refresher Program on “Research Methodology” (Online). This immersive two-week digital initiative, conducted from February13 to February 28, 2025, was meticulously designed in line with UGC-MHRD guidelines. Distinguished scholars and professionals from various states and renowned universities across India participated, equipping themselves with advanced expertise and methodologies in language studies.
The valedictory ceremony commenced with the traditional Punjabi University Dhuni, creating an atmosphere of reverence and academic spirit. Prof. (Dr.) Raman Maini, Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Director of UGC-MMTTC, Punjabi University, Patiala, delivered an insightful welcome address. He reflected on the journey of the past 12 days, describing it as a stimulating exchange of ideas and research-driven discussions. He emphasized that the course fostered a culture of innovation, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity, empowering participants to refine their teaching and research methodologies. Dr. Maini commended participants for their unwavering dedication and underscored the program’s role in inspiring interdisciplinary research and innovative pedagogical approaches.
Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, India, and Chief Guest, delivered a compelling keynote speech. He highlighted the program’s significance as a dynamic forum for knowledge-sharing among educators nationwide. Dr Ahuja highlighted the importance of Collaborations, Quality Publications and Research ethics. He encouraged the researchers for Joint Publications and Projects. Encouraging participants to adopt a progressive outlook, he urged them to embrace contemporary Research challenges and technological advancements. He applauded their willingness to explore interdisciplinary themes and engage in critical discussions. He also lauded Dr. Raman Maini for his steadfast commitment to making the program a transformative experience for all involved.
Dr. Kulwinder Singh Malhi,Professor and Head of the Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Punjabi University, Patiala and Guest of Honour, extended his heartfelt congratulations to all participants. He emphasized the importance of such programs in fostering a deeper understanding of linguistic diversity and promoting global engagement. Dr. Richa Shri, Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala, and Course Coordinator, praised the participants for their active involvement and enthusiasm throughout the program.
