Uninterrupted power supply during Jan 8 nationwide strike; PSPCL set up special control room

To avoid any inconvenience to its consumer, Punjab state power corporation limited has set up special central control room at its head office, to receive round the clock calls, during the nationwide strike call given by National Coordination committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (NCCOEEE) and All India Federation of Electricity Employees for January 8, 2020, against Anti People, Anti Employees and Anti Country Policies adopted by BJP led Union government.
The central control room starts functioning at PSPCL head office, main gate from January, 7, 2020 and will function till January 9, 2020. The management has deputed its employees to attend the calls, in a shift system. From January 7, 2:00 pm to 10;00 pm anybody can call at 9646161185. From 10:00 pm to 6;00 am on January 8, 9646130622 is available to receive calls. From 6:00 am to 2:00 pm 9646182945, from 2:00 to 10:0 pm at 9646111393, from 10:00 pm to 6: am on January 9, 9646129877 and from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm the control room number is 9646116999.
In this nationwide strike, Technical services union (Regd.)( Bhangal group),PSEB employees joint forum (workers federation), PSPCL (INTUC), PSTCL (INTUC),Employees Federation Punjab State Electricity Board , Punjab State Electricity Board Employees Federation, Ministerial services union, Head office employees federation ,PSEB employees federation (AITUC), Punjab (Regd.) and Technical services Union (Regd.) has already confirmed their participation to the PSPCL management, in this nationwide strike on January, 8, 2020.
Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has issued standing instructions to its employees, to not to participate in the strike as “No work No pay “ and “break in service” rule will be implemented if they participate in this call. The power corporation has also directed its officers to make uninterrupted power supply possible and no consumer would feel the heat of the strike.
