Union minister Hardeep Puri appreciated the work done by YPSF on its first anniversary

Today one year achievement brochure of Young progressive Sikh Forum was released by Hardip Singh Puri Union Cabinet Minister in his office at New Delhi. This forum was launched last year at Godavri Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi by various Sikh Legends which included Dr. Jaspal Singh Former Vice chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, Tarlochan Singh Former Chairman Minority Commission of India, Dr. P. S Pasricha Former DGP Maharashtra, Dr. P Singh Oberoi Managing Trustee Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, Raja Randhir Singh Member IOA and Dr. Rajinder Singh Raju Chadha. This forum came into existence on the eve of 550th celebrations of first guru of Sikhs Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Hardeep Puri said that forum’s working is a step towards enlightening the world about who Sikhs are and their proactive contribution to the humanity especially in the contemporary tempestuous times of mistrust, prejudice and intolerance. He further appreciated the work’s done by the Forum in span of just one year towards creating employment, helping youth in education and motivating them towards entrepreneurship. Dr. Prabhleen Singh President of the Forum thanked Puri for being the source of inspiration and ensured that Forum members will not leave any stone unturned towards serving humanity.

Tarlochan Singh Former MP Rajya Sabha & Chairman Minority Commission of India also accompanied Forum MemberHe took up the demand of providing Minority status to the Sikhs residing in Jammu & Kashmir as it was pending even after abrogation of Article 370. Puri immediately acted on his demand and ensured that it will be done in coming few days. Sikhs of the valley have been waiting for getting minority status since long. Baldev Singh Raina Chairman Peaks group J&K, Amritpal Singh Director Charhdikala Time Tv, Dr. Avneet Kaur from Doordarshan, Dr. Parmeet Chadha and Harpreet Kaur Managing Trustee Soch Trust was also present on the occasion.
