To sensitize the youth about our fundamental duties, the Central University of Punjab Bathinda (CUPB), Punjab have released a Short Video titled “A Reminder on Fundamental Duties”. The Central University of Bathinda’s EBSB Club prepared this Video under “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” (EBSB) as per directives of MHRD, and UGC and under the  guidance of their Vice-Chancellor Prof R.K. Kohli.

The Objective of this Video is to encourage everyone to adhere to our statutory duties as responsible citizens, to motivate every person to follow preventive guidelines issued by the government to combat the spread of COVID-19, and to appeal one and all to be a part of “Sankalp Se Sidhi Ki Aur” Movement.

Unique initiative done by Central University of Punjab students.In this video, 28 CUPB EBSB Club student volunteers representing 28 different states across the country participated and translated fundamental duties in regional languages of their respective states..

What are objectives of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”?

The broad objectives of the initiative are as follows

i. To CELEBRATE the Unity in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds between the people of our Country;

ii. To PROMOTE the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian States and Union Territories through a year-long planned engagement between States;

iii. To SHOWCASE the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of either State for enabling people to understand and appreciate the diversity that is India, thus fostering a sense of common identity

iv. TO ESTABLISH long-term engagements and,

v. TO CREATE an environment which promotes learning between States by sharing best practices and experiences.
