Movies are a great source of entertainment as well as education. They create a visual effect on the minds of the learners. Children learn to speak and adopt mannerisms of the actors and try to inculcate them in their lives. Keeping the importance of movies in educating students about languages and values, an Online Movie Day was organised by Police DAV Public School Patiala . Students of  classes Nursery to UKG
were shown an English movie” The Rainbow Fish” depicting the value of togetherness and social harmony.

Children were thrilled to watch the movie. Students of classes 1&2 were shown the fairytale movie of “Hansel and Gretel” depicting the love of brother and sister and their determination to face odd circumstances boldly. Students were tongue tied by the performances of the characters in it. They could relate to them easily. Children of classes 3 to 8 were shown 2 movies at different time slots. The English movie was “The little princess” and Hindi movie was “Bahadur Nevala”. Students were glued to their screens and watched the movies enthusiastically. They thanked their teachers for giving them these  golden moments to see movies with their classmates along with them.
