Veopar Bacaho Sangarsh Committee Patiala to support Bharat Bandh
On a Bharat Bandh call given on SC-ST Act by organisations on September 6, Veopar Bacaho Sangarsh Committee, Patiala has decided to support and close their shop, establishments on Thursday, September 6. The decision was taken in a meeting attended by representatives of Veopar Bachao Sangarsh Committee, General Samaj, Samanta Manch and different wings of General Category bodies. They decided unanimously to shut their business on Thursday, September 6, in Patiala. In this meeting, they also decided to close all business centres, schools, colleges etc.
In a press release issued by Veopar Bachao Sangarsh Committee said that they oppose the Atrocities Act, as it is affecting badly the general category. We support the reservation on economic parameters but oppose the reservation of caste-based criteria.
They also decided forward a memorandum of their demands to Prime Minister Narinder Modi thru Deputy Commissioner Patiala.
On Thursday, September 6, at 9:30 AM, they would assemble in front of Dr Bhagat Singh Shop at Sheranwala Gate, Patiala and start their peaceful procession to press their demands. The rally would pass through different parts of the city and will culminate at Sheranwala Gate.
