Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is taking revolutionary steps in the field of education. By developing the education infrastructure and upgrading government schools, efforts are being made to transform them into institutions that can compete with model and convent schools, thereby preparing students to face the challenges of modern times.
Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains stated that while inaugurating various development projects in different schools under Sikhya Kranti Program initiative. As part of this program, the Minister inaugurated the works, 4.55 lakhs for repairs at Government Primary School, Bahlu, 5.95 lakhs for classroom repairs at Government Primary School, Dhahe, 12.06 lakhs for new classrooms and repairs at Government Primary School, Thaluh Lower,5.05 lakhs for boundary wall repair at Government Primary School, Thaluh Upper, 3.55 lakhs for repairs at Government Primary School, Gambhirpur Upper, 9.32 lakhs for new classrooms and repairs at Government Primary School, Surewal Upper, 5.05 lakhs for repairs at Government Primary School, Surewal Lower, Rs. 10 lakhs for a holistic development plan at Government Primary School, Dher,4.75 lakhs for repairs and boundary wall at Government Primary School, Dasgrai,4.55 lakhs for repairs at Government Primary School, Khanpu, 3 lakhs for boundary wall at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Dher , 22 lakhs for Science, Chemistry, and Physics labs at the same school.
The Education Minister inaugurated these completed works worth 89.43 lakhs across 11 government schools in the constituency today. He has been regularly visiting schools, interacting with students, teachers, parents, and local dignitaries. He is also reviewing other ongoing development projects in these villages.
During conversations with students, Education Minister shares success tips and encourages them. As the youngest Education Minister in the country, Harjot Bains is also inspiring students to meet young IAS and IPS officers. He discusses the special government campaign where these officers visit schools and share the challenges they faced in achieving success, even spending a day with students.
