Voters have old deeds of royal city politicians in their mind; may dent them in elections

Residents of royal city Patiala are in a fix, to whom to vote in this crucial election. Some have clear vision and have made-up their mind. Some are still struggling to choose their candidates.
Some residents are annoyed with their leaders, for not taking care of them during their rule and some are annoyed with their past deeds and don’t want to vote for them.
In an interesting aspect, some residents are annoyed just because of their past deeds, characters. Like an old lady in the city said “why to vote for captain (Capt Amarinder Singh)? He lived in Chandigarh, never came to Patiala to meet us, to know about us in these five years. His wife (Preneet kaur) earlier visiting the areas of city. But she also remained absent, all these years. His daughter doesn’t know about us. Our link with them has broken now.”
Another lady said “why Capt is living with a foreign lady not with his wife Preneet Kaur ? What type of message he is giving to us, young generation? We are passing our traditions (sanskar) to our children and he is doing all these rubbish. Earlier, his alleged relations with Manpreet Sekhon and now with Aroosa Alam and no intimacy with Preneet Kaur shows his royal personality. But we are a common man and don’t like this extra marital affairs or friendship .”
Voters have old deeds of royal city politicians in their mind; may dent them in elections. Even, the residents are vocal against AAP candidate Ajitpal Singh Kohli and Congress candidate Vishnu Sharma.
An old associate of Ajitpal singh Kohli said “ Kohli belongs to a respected family. But he has no character. In around 2009 he got caught with an unidentified girl, in a four wheeler, at a university campus in Amritsar, when he was mayor Patiala. He bribed the security guard and the matter was sorted out with the intervention of senior akali leaders. Now, he ditched akali dal, who made him the youngest mayor of the country.”
Another associate who remained with congress candidate Vishnu Sharma said “ Vishnu won his mayoral election with the help of Preneet Kaur in 2002. He is losing his MC elections at that time. On voting day Preneet Kaur helped him. He won that lost election, courtesy Preneet Kaur. Capt Amarinder Singh and Preneet Kaur made him first mayor of the city. He abandoned them, who made his career. What can we expect from a person, who made his career and he is fighting against him? ”
