Why discrimination only with General category? GCWF demands appointments in General Category Commission

After Punjab govt appointed chairman, members of 14 boards, corporation, General Category Welfare Federation (PSPCL/PSTCL) held a gate meeting today at PSPCL/ PSTCL head office Patiala seeking immediate appointment of Chairman and Staff of Punjab General category Commission.
Kuljeet Singh Rattol President said that the Federation today has written a letter to Chief Minister Punjab urging him to immediately appoint suitable persons for the posts of Chairman, Vice Chairman and member of the commission. The Punjab government has filled almost all the posts in different welfare boards and corporations today but even after more than 3 years of the AAP government in Punjab the selection process for appointment in Commission has not been started.
In the Press note issued by state president Kuljit Singh Ratol, Gurdeep Singh Tiwana Senior Vice President, Hargurmeet Singh Finance Secretary, Kanchan Kumar Joint Secretary, Ashok Chopra Press Secretary, Parvinder Singh, Rajiv Kumar, Mukesh Singla, Jatinder Kumar, Maninder Singh, Narinder Kathuria said that the Punjab government today on August 8 appointed the chairman and members of every category/institution, but the government has not appointed the chairman and members of the Punjab State Commission for General Category. This has led to huge protests among the general category people, employees, students, farmers, traders etc.
“The Punjab State Commission for General Category” should appoint an experienced and qualified person as the Chairman and the Vice Chairman and the remaining three members of the Commission should also be appointed immediately.
The General Commission should be given the power to work and should be placed directly under the Personnel Department so that the people of the general category can get proper hearing and complete justice.
Various speakers at the gate rally expressed their protest against the government and said that if the process for appointing the chairperson of the general category is not started soon, the general federation will draw up a program in the coming days and wage a fierce struggle. At this time, hundreds of employees of the federation raised strong slogans against the Punjab government.
V K Gupta spokesperson said that the political parties in Punjab seem to look aloof to the problems of general category. The federation has already submitted various memorandums on this demand to the chief minister through ministers and various party leaders.
