Workshop on Data Analytics and Modeling at GNDU
Amritsar-A seven days workshop on Data Analytics and Modeling (using AMOS, SmartPLS and ADANCO) was inaugurated in the Guru Nanak Dev University. The Centre for Data analytics and Research (CDAR) of Guru Nanak Dev University is being organized this workshop which will concluded on 18th May, 2018. It was a great moment of honor for CDAR to host a seven days workshop on business modeling wherein the participants have from all the way from different parts of the country, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jammu and even from the neighboring country Nepal.
CDAR Incharge, Prof. (Dr.) Balwinder Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Prabhjeet Singh along with program coordinator Prof.(Dr.) Rishi Raj Sharma were all present there for the inaugural session. The inauguration was done by Prof. Prabhjeet Singh who is an eminent scientist in the field of Bio-technology and has been handling multiple projects granted by different research agencies. He explained the inception and working of CDAR, as one of its own kind in this region.
The inaugural lecture was delivered by program coordinator Prof. Rishi Raj in which he stated that the “thinking of future allows us to project our dreams and fantasies into a blank canvas”. These workshops are blank canvas where we see our dreams changing to a reality. Prof. Rishi elaborated that this workshop will inspire the individuals to develop their analytical skills in the field of research and unique feature of this workshop is that it is the first workshop in this region which comprehensively takes in all the issues of scale refinement and business modeling by using latest software like SmartPLS, ADANCO along with AMOS.
The resource persons of the workshop are extinguished Professors and experts like Prof. DR. Nikunj Jain from IMI, Delhi and formally a fellow of IIM Kozhikode, Prof. (Dr.) Gurjit Kaur from department of commerce, University of Jammu and Dr. A. Shiva who is certified trainer on SmartPls from University of Hamburg, Germany.
