The Training, Placement and Career Guidance Cell and Department of Computer Science of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala organised a workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence-Chat GPT and its impact on our daily life’ under the guidance of College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata. The Resource Person for the workshop was Prof. (Dr.) Gurpreet Singh Lehal, Dean, College Development Council Punjabi University, Patiala. The speaker was an eminent personality who has made great contributions in computerization of Punjabi Language and has developed 25software’s. He was the first to develop Punjabi word processer AKHAR.

The College Principal with a vision to keep the students updated with the latest technology developments is always foremost in organising such programs. Prof. Ram Kumar, Head of Computer Dept introduced the Guest Speaker by reading out his multi versed profile. The program started with the lighting of the Lamp. The speaker talked about Artificial Intelligence that has helped in bringing about a revolution in the world.

A latest technological trend Chat GPT has brought international sensation with people using this platform to do everything from writing essays, computer codes, poems, research and much more. He practically showed the ability of Chat GPT to consistently demonstrate creativity through various examples. This platform has made advances in fields like Medical, Law, Engineering etc. He advised the students to co-exist with the upcoming intelligent machines. The students should wisely use this platform as an assistant in their work. The queries of the students were answered by the guest the workshop was very valuable to the students and the faculty.

Workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence’- Chat GPT held at Govt Bikram College. The college Principal appreciated the efforts of the organizers. Dr. Apra presented a Vote of Thanks. About 300 students and all the members of the staff were present.
