Workshop on Fashion Photography organized at Modi College Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized a one day workshop on Fashion Photography. The college Photography Club in collaboration with Department of Fashion Technology organized this workshop to equip the students with thematic and technical specifications of fashion photography. The resource person for this workshop was Jatinder Kamboj, Director, IRIS Academy of Photography.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the resource person and said that Fashion Photography is one of the emerging areas for the career in photography. Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Incharge Photography club introduced the resource person. He said that Kamboj is an authority in the field of Photography. He is known for his innovative and lively photographs. He emphasized inter-disciplinary approach in photography and motivated the students to take part in such activities.
In his lecture, Jatinder Kamboj demonstrated the skills and techniques for capturing a perfect shot in different fields of fashion photography, such as portraits, editorials, advertisements and product photography. He encouraged the students to study minutely the details of an object before the shoot to understand the essence of a photograph. He emphasized on the aesthetic sense in photography and encouraged the students to opt fashion photography as a career to become self employed.
Prof. (Dr.) Baljinder Kaur, Head, Department of English motivated the students to develop their creative skills and make full use of this workshop.
Prof. Veenu Jain, Head, Department of Fashion Technology presented the vote of thanks. Dr. Ajit Kumar, Registrar and Dr. Harmohan Sharma were also present on the occasion.
