World Entrepreneurship Day celebrated at Punjabi University, Patiala

World Entrepreneurship Day was celebrated at Punjabi University, Patiala on 21st August, 2023. Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Career Hub (EICH) in collaboration with G20 University Connect, N.S.S department and Department of Youth Welfare celebrated the day as ‘UdayamitaDiwas’. To mark this day and foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Punjab, EICH signed a MoU with Innovation Mission Punjab. The EICH logo was released by the Vice Chancellor.
The core strength of Punjabi University, Patiala is its students from rural areas which makes ‘Rural Entrepreneurship’ its niche. To encourage the students towards rural entrepreneurship an exhibition of traditional artifacts of Punjab was also organized in which nearly two hundred students participated and exhibited their handicrafts. Special participation was from deaf students of the Patiala School for the Deaf and Blind whose works were appreciated.
Sixty students were selected for a skill development workshop which will be conducted by EICH soon with the intention to hone their skills so that they could become future entrepreneurs.
