World University to start first of its kind a professional course in Gurdwara Management

“The Bachelor of Management Studies (Gurdwara Management) (BMSGM) is an innovative, three-year under graduate program that provides you with a high-level skill set in Gurudwara management’ said Dr Prit Pal Singh Vice Chancellor, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib.
The BMSGM is designed to meet the needs of a student who can manage Gurudwara all over the globe. Admission to the program is based on marks obtained in +2 and in interview, to be conducted at the Panth Rattan Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra Institute of Advanced Studies in Sikhisim ,Bahadurgarh ,Patiala. There are twenty five seats in the first year. The selected candidates will get scholarship from Dharam Parchar Committee of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, with free hostel facility at the campus. The course is recognized by Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib.
“Each student is exposed to the study of management and its applications within the context of Gurdwara management, Sikh Scripture and Literature ,Basics Of Gurdwara Management, Communication Skills / Soft/Generic Skills , Managerial Qualities , Organizational Behavior & Skills , Gurdwara & Guru Granth Sahib: Management Perspective , Langar and Hospitality Management , Psychology For Management ,Sikh Values and Management Ethics , Sikh Diaspora and Gurdwara Management (Inter & Intra-Religious Issues Management In Multicultural/Multireligious World Society), Sikh Institutions and Organisations : Managerial Perspective , Gurdwara Campus Planning & Landscaping Designing – Case Studies & Creative Writing – Field Training (One Month In The Last Of Every Semester)” said Vice Chancellor of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Dr PritPal Singh.
After the completion of the course students are eligible to work in any religious place as Manager, Additional Manager, Assistant Manager, Incharge, Superintendent , Gurudwara Inspectors, Member flying squad, Administrative officer etc.
