Aam admi party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal, who took oath as Delhi chief minister for the third successive time on Sunday, said “as the elections are over, the politics is also over and he has “forgiven” his opponents for the remarks they made during the poll campaign” in his address at the Ramlila Maidan after taking oath.
Arvind Kejriwal and his six ministers- Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Rajendra Gautam took oath today at a mega ceremony at Ramlila Maidan, outside Delhi’s iconic Red Fort, that was attended by a huge crowd.
He said he wants to work in coordination with the Centre and also sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s blessings for smooth governance of the national capital. “I had invited the Prime Minister too, but maybe he was busy with some other work” .Prime Minister Narendra Modi skipped the ceremony and is on a visit to his constituency, Varanasi.
“Your son has taken oath for the third time as the Delhi chief minister. This is not my victory but yours,” said Kejriwal, referring himself as Delhi’s “son”, he said this is not his victory but of every single Delhiite
In a tweet this morning, Arvind Kejriwal asked the people of Delhi to bless their son. “Taking oath today for the third time as the Delhi CM”.
AAP had also invited school teachers, doctors, exam toppers, auto drivers, caretakers and sanitation workers, who have been dubbed “Dilli Ke Nirmata (Makers of Delhi)”. “Politicians come and go…. but if the city makes progress, it is because of these people,” Please come to Ramlila Maidan to bless your son,” his tweet in Hindi read.
