YPS added another feather in its cap; students become India’s top problem solver

Yadavindra Public School, Patiala feels immense pride in sharing that two students of class VII and IX have won India’s Top Young Problem Solvers Award. They had participated in one of India’s Premier Critical reasoning programming competition named as HCL Jigsaw 3.0 held online.

Krishiv Garg of IX-P has won India’s Top Young Problem Solver Award in India’s Premier Critical Reasoning programme named HCL Jigsaw 3.0 competition and it also makes him the only one from the Punjab state to win this award. Additionally, Yash Raj Singh of VII-E has also won the Runners Up trophy in the same competition.

Around 35,000 students from across the country had appeared earlier for the Quarter Final round, out of which 1250 had qualified. The top 20% had been selected for the Semi Finale. It is to mention that the top 20% included 9 students from YPS, Patiala. After the semi-finals, 2 students from YPS, Patiala named Krishiv Garg and Yash Raj Singh competed in the Final round and won the prizes. Total 23 students from YPS had participated in this event.

The idea behind participating in this competition was to enhance research, critical thinking and communication among students. The competition included students from class VI-IX from across the nation.
