The Reciprocal Exchange Programme was held under the patronage of AFS (originally known as American Field Service) India, a voluntary, non-profit organisation that provides opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skill and understanding needed to overcome cultural barriers.

YPS has been a pioneer in intercultural learning programmes and in helping its students become global citizens in a true sense. This, in turn, helps them to imbibe skills needed to succeed in a global economy and make a positive difference to the world.

All the members of the French student delegation were given a warm welcome in a Garland Ceremony at Delhi airport by YPS team of teachers associated with this programme. First two days of their visit included visits to several places in Agra and New Delhi, especially the Taj Mahal.
