YPS hosted round square conference…2019

Yadavindra Public School hosted three days long Inter cultural learning Round Square Conference on September 13-15. The delegates from 12 different schools from all over India participated in this conference. The theme of the conference was ‘Adventure…..Wander Explore Discover’.
The opening ceremony was held on September 13 at YPS Multi-purpose hall. The Director of YPS, Maj Gen Sanjiv Varma, VSM (Retd), addressed the audience and welcomed them whole heartedly. He also briefed them about the theme of the conference and apprised them the benefits of adventure and urged them to make the best possible use of next three days.
The first keynote speaker for the day was a young environmentalist and the Founder of Healing Himalayas, Pradeep Sangwan, who aims to keep Himalayas plastic free. He shared his valuable experience with the students and urged them to keep environment clean and green.
The second guest speaker was an adventure enthusiast, an accomplished sportsman with National participation in many disciplines of sports and two times National Squash Champion, YPS alumni and incumbent Bursar, Vikram Singh. He also apprised the delegates about the benefits of the adventure sports.
The delegates spent two days at the Eco Camp site at Barog, where they engaged themselves in various adventure sports. The teachers escort from YPS, Monika Singh, Ravneet Ahluwalia, Tarinder Kaur and Sangeet Sandhu had accompanied the delegates at the Eco camp. Simrat Malhotra, Anju Pandey and Vidushi Datta helped in smooth functioning of the events.
