YPS Players win Medals in Khelo India Youth Games 2019

The students of Yadavindra Public School, Patiala won accolades in the prestigious Khelo India Youth Games, 2019 held in Pune and Tandrust Punjab U-14 State Championship held in Mohali. The young players won medals in different disciplines like Shooting, Badminton, Swimming and Gymnastics.
The most promising national shooter, Raj Kanwar Sandhu of class XI participated in Khelo India Youth Games, 2019 and won Silver medal (individual) in 10m Air Pistol Shooting. This star player of YPS already has a bag full of national and international medals. Whereas, another student, Abhay Sekhon won Bronze medal in Skeet Shooting competition. He was selected in core group of Indian Junior Skeet team after his scintillating performances in the State and National championships. This dedicated player now aims to play world championships.
Shikhar Rallan, young Badminton player of class VII was selected in top 8 players in U-14 Boys School Nationals held in Aurangabad, Maharashtra and has also won Bronze medal in Punjab State U-14 badminton championship held in Roopnagar.
On other hand, Naunihal Singh of class VII-O, participated in 64th SGFI National Shooting Championship and won Bronze Medal in Team. Another student, Tejas of class VII-N participated in the State Gymnastic Championship 2019 held at Mohali. This young player received Two Bronze medals, one each in Floor exercise and Table vault. Our swimmers, Sumer Singh of class VII-P and Manreet of class VIII-P participated in the Tandrust Punjab U-14 Punjab State Swimming Championship and bagged several positions.
