Yudh Nashian Virudh Campaign: Cheema Conducts Surprise Inspection of CASO Operation in Rupnagar

Chairman of the Yudh Nashian Virudh Cabinet Sub-Committee and Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Cheema today conducted a surprise inspection of the CASO operation (Cordon and Search Operation) being carried out against drug smugglers in the village of Shampura, Rupnagar district.
Addressing the media during the inspection, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema revealed that 13 cases of NDPS have been registered in the village of Shampura. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has declared an all-out war to completely eradicate drugs from the state. He reaffirmed that no person involved in the drug trade will be spared.
Meanwhile, SSP Rupnagar Gulneet Singh Khurana provided further details, stating that a total of 17 cases have been registered and 24 accused have been arrested in the Rupnagar district so far under this Campaign. He reported that 3,780 capsules and tablets, 50 injections, 37 grams and 124 milligrams of heroin, 459 grams and 135 milligrams of narcotic powder, and drug money amounting to Rs. 12,050 have been recovered.
