Zonal Youth Festival of “GCA Zone” concluded with the beat of Gidha

The three-day Zonal Youth Festival of “GCA Zone ” of Guru Nanak Dev University was concluded here today with the beat of Gidha in the jam packed  Dashmesh auditorium of the Guru Nanak Dev University.

Final day ceremony was presided over by Chief guest Prof. Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dean Academic Affairs of the University and he gave away the trophies to the winners along with other officials of the University.

Chief Guest, Prof. Palwinder Singh while congratulating the winners exhorted the students to participate in this type of activities along with formal studies for their overall development.

In this festival, In A- division of Government/ Constituent Colleges category,  SR Govt. College For Women stood first, Government College, Gurdaspur remained First Runner- up while Guru Nanak Dev University College, Jalandhar finished Second Runners- up.

In B- Division of Government/ Constituent Colleges category, Baba Sahib Bhimrao Ambedkar Govt. Co- Education College, Bootan Mandi, Jalandhar stood first, Sri Guru Tegbahadur College, Sathiala was First Runners- Up while Guru Nanak Dev University College, Chung remained Second Runners- up.

Similarly, Associate Institutes B-Division Category, Sri Guru Tegbahadur College for Women was Overall Champion and SSSS College of Arts for Women and Sant Baba Hazara Singh Girls College, Nikke Ghulam  both was remained  First Runners – Up .

Earlier, Prof. Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Dean Students Welfare welcomed the chief guest. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Incharge, Youth Welfare Department detailed about the activities of the Department.

He also thanked the team Dr. Balbir Singh, Dr. Satnam singh Deol, Dr. Parambir Singh Malhi, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Dr. Rajandeep singh, Dr. Kuldeep singh, Dr. Sachin, Dr. Prabsimran Singh,Dr. Harinder Kaur sohal, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur, Dr. Sunaina, Dr. Munish Saini for their value-able roles during Youth Festival.
