1100 Students Participates In State Level Mega Job Fair At DBU

Desh Bhagat University organized a State Level Mega Job Fair Visionzz-19, at its campus. The fair was targeted at the students who are Graduate, Post Graduate in various streams like Management, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Applications, and Arts etc. University Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur inaugurated the event and wished Good Luck to all the participants. She hoped that this mega job fair will provide a launch pad to give jobs to the youth of the state.

Charanjeet Singh Channi (Technical Education Minister, Punjab) in his message applauded the University for making Ghar Ghar Naukri Initiative of Punjab Govt. a success. He appreciated the University for carving the niche in the field of education in a very short time. He declared that the state government will soon start Mega Job Fair for those who want to start their own venture and govt. will provide them facilities like loan, training and guidance etc. in all possible manners.

While giving details, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh said that the Mega Job Fair was organized in collaboration with Govt. of Punjab.  In this Mega Event more than 13 well-known National and Multinational companies including Equity Score-USA, Amazon,  Reliance JIO, HDFC Bank, Eureka Forbs, A2IT Soft Solutions, Competent Synergy, Madhav Group, Shri Ram Panels, Techno Craft, Raps iTech, EME Technologies and Cinif Technologies etc. participated.  Officers of these companies selected suitable candidates for different jobs. The Fair was attended by 1050 job aspirants from different parts of Punjab. The event received huge success as more than 250 candidates were selected through written test and personal interview by different companies and some of them got job offer of package up to 2 CR. Dr. Singh expressed that the Job Fair initiative by Govt. of Punjab in collaboration with educational institutes would provide a golden opportunity to youth of the state to get jobs.

In the State Level Mega Job Fair at DBU, its Vice-chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh said that as a part of corporate social responsibility, the university has been organizing such job fairs on regular basis for providing suitable employment opportunities to candidates, not only for its own students but for the students of the whole North India. Desh Bhagat United Vice-President Er. Sandeep Singh said that the University organizes such Mega Fairs from time to time and this was the 19th Mega Job Fair of the series. The fair provided an opportunity to deserving students to get jobs in companies of national as well as international repute. Selected students appreciated the efforts of Desh Bhagat University as they felt that they could have never got such a job through their own resources. They also said that the event was very well – organized.
