19 Crore to be spent on Road Development in Ghanaur: Dr. Balbir Singh

Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has announced a Rs.19 crore initiative to upgrade the road infrastructure in the Ghanaur region.

During his visit to Sarala Head, the Minister inspected the condition of roads and instructed officials from PWD, Punjab Mandi Board, Panchayati Raj, and BML to expedite the repair and maintenance work on roads and bridges under their jurisdiction.

Dr. Balbir Singh stated that Rs. 6.28 crores will be spent on the 5.44 km road from Untsar to Lohsimbli. Approximately Rs. 12 crores will be allocated to the 17.50 km stretch from Kapuri to Lohsimbli. Rs.1.15 crores will be used to construct the 1.13 km link road connecting Sarala Kalan to the Haryana border.

The Minister emphasized the importance of completing these projects within stipulated timelines and directed the Panchayat Department to expedite the deepening of the village pond in Sarala Kalan.

Dr. Balbir Singh reaffirmed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government is committed to the holistic development of the state.

19 Crore to be spent on Road Development in Ghanaur: Dr. Balbir Singh singh also instructed the PWD to repaint faded road markings urgently, noting that the absence of white lines during foggy weather poses a significant risk of road accidents. He stressed that addressing this issue should be a top priority.

The visit was attended by SP Rajesh Chhibber, SDM Rajpura Avikesh Gupta, SDM Dudhansadhan Kripalveer Singh, Executive Engineer Navin Mittal, DDPO Shavinder Singh, and other officials from various departments.
