3 day strike call effect- CM to hold meeting with govt owned transport contractual employees

Today, contractual employees of the state-owned Punjab Roadways (PUNBUS) and Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) on Sunday went on a three-day strike, demanding regularisation of their jobs and leaving many commuters stranded, forces the government to fix a meeting with chief minister.
The development comes after several unsuccessful meetings between unions of employees and the Transport Minister and the Transport Secretary.
Furthermore, the staffers will also protest on August 15 as Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will hoist the national flag.
In the evening, a formal invitation for meeting has been given to the contract employees union members to meet the chief minister on August 18,2022 at 1 PM at chief minister residence.
