GEMS Public School organised Punjab State Karate Championship

The two-day Open Punjab State Karate Championship 2017 has been organized as a joint endeavour of GEMS Public School, Patiala and district Karate Association at GEMS Public School, Patiala.

Patiala Superintendent of Police (City), Kesar Singh and S.H.O Kotwali International gymnastics player, Harwinder Singh Dhillon along with Principal of GEMS Public School, Patiala  Dr.Manjari Tejpal inaugurated the championship. The international Judo coach NIS Patiala Suraj Singh, the president of Punjab Karate Association, I.V. Sharma and Dy. director of sports authority of India National Institute of Sports, Vineet, Patiala were also the guests of honour. Around 25 schools from 13 districts participated in the competition. 1st position was awarded to SRS Samana, GEMS Public School bagged second position in the tournament Patiala with 6 Gold, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze Medals.

It was sporting event that didn’t only promise extreme action and excitement, but also the amazing display of candidate’s physical strength and stamina.
