550 Prakash Purab;DC Bathinda reviews arrangements for digital light and sound show

Dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a three days Digital Museum, Light & Sound Show will be organized at Sports Ground of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant Colony on Goniana Road. The first day of the show will be organized on January-16 wherein digital museum would be showcased for the public free of cost.

Presiding over a meeting of officials at the venue of the show, Deputy Commissioner B. Srinivasan today asked various department heads to give special attention towards the seating arrangements, toilets and parking for the visitors.

Addressing officials, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the show is a part of a series of events being dedicated by the Punjab Government to Sri Guru Nanak Ji’s 550th Parkash Purb. He said that the museum and Light Show will highlight teachings and philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

While people can see the Museum on first day–January-16–and can attend the two Light & Sound Shows in the evening on January 17 and January-18.

The Deputy Commissioner passed on necessary guidelines and instructions to the officials who are assigned different duties during the occasion.

Apart from security by the police, fire department and health department officials are also instructed to keep the fire-brigade and ambulance adjoining to the place where the show is being held.

Deputy Commissioner said that temporary toilets too would be installed near the venue of the show and traffic policemen were ordered to streamline the traffic around the area on Goniana Road and also in the parking area.

While the Museum will remain open for the public from 7 am to 5 pm on  three days the Light and Sound Show will be shown from 6 pm to 6.45 pm and 7.15 pm to 8 pm on January 17 and 18.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Sukhpreet Sidhu, SDM Bathnda Amarinder Singh Tiwana District Public Relations Officer Gurdeep Singh Mann were among the others who were present during today’s meeting.
