5th International Day of Yoga celebrated at Modi College

National Service Scheme (NSS) Units of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala celebrated 5th International Day of Yoga at college. Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Vinod Sharma conducted Yoga Session based upon Common Yoga Protocol defined by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. 80 NSS Volunteers participated enthusiastically during International Yoga Day celebrations.
Under the supervision of Vinod Sharma, the NSS Volunteers enjoyed Yog Asanas, Prayanayam and Meditation and pledged to make it a part of their daily routine. He said that Yoga is one of the most ancient sciences of our country and we should contribute to make it popular amongst the people of the nation.
NSS Officers Dr. Rajeev Sharma and Dr. Harmohan Sharma were also present on this occasion. Dr. Rajeev Sharma thanked Principal, Vinod Sharma and volunteers and said people from all over the world are also very attracted towards Yoga and Meditation and they visit India to learn this science. When our culture has been a pioneer in Yoga and Meditation, being Indians we should adopt Yoga and assure that this ancient science reaches to masses of our nation.
NSS Officer Dr. Harmohan Sharma addressed the volunteers and said that Yoga is a very easy and free method to attain agility, health and internal peace and happiness. It is also an easy way to get rid of many diseases. We need to adopt Yoga in our day to day life.
