6 Weeks Industrial Training Program launched by SGGS World University with Sabudh Foundation for Computer Science Students

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Fatehgarh Sahib proudly announces the launch of an innovative Industrial Training Program in collaboration with the Sabudh Foundation, designed to enhance the practical skills and employability of computer science students. This initiative underscores the University’s commitment to integrate academic excellence with real-world application. Sabudh Foundation is a leading organization dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry. It provides students with opportunities to polish their skills through practical experience and industry mentorship, preparing them to excel in their careers.
The 45-day training program will enable students to work with cutting-edge technologies in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things. This comprehensive training is organised for the students of B.Tech, BCA and MCA.
Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Incharge of Training and Placement, highlighted the essentiality of industrial training for computer science students. Her said that such programmes bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, which enhances students’ employability and prepare them for the challenges of the tech industry.
Dr. Pritpal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University, highlighted that by integrating industrial training with the academic curriculum, the University is equipping students with the skills, confidence, and insight needed to excel in their future careers.
Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Head, Department of Computer Science, deliberated on the unique opportunities this program offers. Dr. Shafila Bansal and Ravi Mittal, representatives of the Sabudh Foundation, introduced the foundation’s mission and shared details about the Summer Program: Skill Development through Sabudh Six Week Internship. She provided an in-depth introduction to the Sabudh Foundation, outlining its commitment to skill development and industry collaboration. She detailed the foundation’s innovative programs designed to empower students with practical experience and mentorship from industry experts. Harsehrab Singh, Ravi, and Taranpreet Kaur also joined from Sabudh team.

The Training and Placement Department at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University has been continuously organizing such events to make students industry-ready. Regular Soft Skill and Personality Development workshops, as well as Career Counselling Sessions, are held to ensure that students are well-prepared for their professional journeys.
