Contract killing foiled by Patiala police; an accused associate of USA based gangster arrested

Patiala Police on Thursday claimed to have thwarted a major contract killing attempt with the arrest of one person along with arms and ammunition.
As per Patiala police its special cell, Rajpura thwarted a targeted killing and apprehended a shooter Jashanpreet Singh, son of Manpreet Singh, a resident of village Panjoli, district Fatehgarh Sahib linked to a foreign-based criminal network. The police have also seized one .32 caliber sophisticated pistol with 5 cartridges and one .315 caliber country-made pistol with 2 cartridges from him.
As per Patiala police officials Jashanpreet Singh is an associate of a USA-based gangster Karan Walia. Jashanpreet Singh was tasked with targeting an individual associated with the Pehalwan group of Fatehgarh sahib and Mohali district.
A case FIR No. 94 dated 24.11.23 u/s 25 Arms act 6/7 Amendment act Arms Act PS Kheri Gandiyan.
The arrest and recovery have prevented what could have been a significant act of violence in the region, highlighting the effective coordination of the Rajpura Special Cell. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further connections and motives behind this plot.
