World Cancer Day celebrated at Govt Rajindra Hospital

Today on February 4,2025, World Cancer Day celebration was conducted collectively by Radiation Oncology Department , Rajindra Hospital Patiala, Director Principal, Govt Medical College Patiala, Indian Medical association (I.M.A.) Patiala and I.M.A. Punjab at Radiation Oncology Department, Rajindra Hospital Patiala.
It is conducted on 4th February every year. On this occasion, Dr. Rajan Singla (Director Principal, Govt Medical College Patiala) expressed his views regarding awareness of cancer. He also said that in year 2024, the lady who won the title of Miss Florida, was suffering from breast cancer. Dr. Raja Paramjeet Singh (Professor and Head, Radiation Oncology Department), Dr. Nidhi Bansal (President, I.M.A. Patiala), Dr. Amandeep Singh Bakshi (Secretary, I.M.A. Patiala) also expressed their views regarding prevention of cancer and timely treatment of cancer.
Dr. Chander Mohini(Senior Vice President I.M.A. Punjab) and Dr. Sunigdha (Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology department) also expressed their views regarding Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer.
Dr. Meenakshi told in detail about diagnosis of cancer. Dr. Vishal Chopra (Professor and Head, Chest & TB department), Dr. H. S. Rekhi (Professor , Surgery department), Dr. Saryu Gupta (Professor, Radiology Department), Dr. Parminder Singh (Associate Professor,E.N.T. Department) were also present on this occasion.
