DC Patiala conducts surprise inspection of Tripuri OOAT Clinic ; interacted with patients, gathered feedback from staff

Deputy Commissioner Patiala Dr. Preeti Yadav today conducted a surprise inspection at the OOAT (Outpatient Opioid Assisted Treatment) Clinic located at the Community Health Centre, Tripuri. She interacted with patients undergoing de-addiction treatment and inquired about the medicines provided to them. Feedback regarding the availability of medicines and essential supplies was also obtained from the on-duty doctors and counselors.
Dr. Preeti Yadav stated that the Patiala district administration is consistently visiting de-addiction centers and OOAT clinics to gather feedback from both patients and staff. During the interaction, patients at the Tripuri OOAT Clinic expressed satisfaction with the timely availability of medicines and regular counseling sessions provided by the staff.
Highlighting the Punjab Government’s commitment under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, she said that robust arrangements have been made for the treatment and rehabilitation of drug-affected individuals. Along with treatment, skill-based training courses are also being introduced to empower patients for self-employment after recovery, enabling their smooth reintegration into society.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to society to come forward and extend support to those seeking to reform themselves, so they can lead a life of dignity and self-respect. During the visit, Dr. Preeti Yadav also inspected the ongoing services at the Homeopathy Clinic within the Community Health Centre premises.
