Ajayvir Singh Lalpura thanks PM Modi for the Hemkund Sahib Ropeway Project Approval

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Ajayvir Singh Lalpura today expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving the Shri Hemkund Sahib Ropeway Project. He stated that this project is a historic gift for Sikh devotees, significantly reducing the difficulties faced on the mountainous route.

Shri Hemkund Sahib is a significant pilgrimage site for Sikhs, visited by thousands of devotees every year. Until now, pilgrims had to undertake a challenging and lengthy trek to reach the shrine. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the central government has approved the construction of the Hemkund Sahib Ropeway to facilitate this journey.

Lalpura highlighted that the ropeway project will span approximately 12.4 kilometers and will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2730.13 crore. The ropeway will ensure a smooth and safe journey from Govindghat to Shri Hemkund Sahib. He emphasized that this state-of-the-art ropeway will not only protect travelers from the hardships of hilly terrain but also save significant time.

Ajayvir Singh Lalpura further stated that the project would enable elderly, differently-abled, and unwell devotees to visit Hemkund Sahib without any inconvenience. He stressed that this decision reflects Prime Minister Modi’s deep respect and sensitivity towards the Sikh community. The Hemkund Sahib Ropeway will not only simplify pilgrimage travel but also boost economic and tourism development in the region.

Lalpura said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always prioritized the sentiments of Sikhs. From ensuring justice for the 1984 riot victims to opening the Kartarpur Corridor, the Modi government has consistently safeguarded the interests of the Sikh community. The approval of the Hemkund Sahib Ropeway Project once again proves that the BJP government is committed to the welfare of all religions and communities.”

He assured that the BJP government will continue prioritizing development projects and remains dedicated to providing better facilities for pilgrims of all faiths.
